OBYX Timeline
OBYX has been developed over a number of years. The project was first initiated by a requirement in 2003 to develop a new language using non-legacy code. The major part of the development was undertaken between April 2003 and November 2007 under the code name 'Context', this is known as the 'Context era'. The name OBYX was chosen for the developed language in November 2007 and between then and February 2010 (the 'OBYX era') it was fine tuned and thoroughly tested leading to it's launch on February 2010. The 'Social era' brought about it's Public Beta 1 release and the ability to download the package from this website.
OBYX has entered the social era.
